The BET Awards has long been considered one of culture’s biggest nights. To extend the celebration, BET launched House of BET—a four-day immersive experience filled with programming, performances, and cultural activations. The weekend kicked off on Thursday with an exclusive, invite-only screening of the hit TV series Average Joe.

As Creative Director, I collaborated with the team to shape the overall experience strategy, curating concepts that blended nostalgia, innovation, and cultural relevance. Highlights included the return of Rap City with a live freestyle corner, the Ispendblack marketplace spotlighting Black-owned brands alongside a celebration of iconic music through the decades, and a fully functioning corner store offering beverages and snacks for attendees.

Inside, we featured Atlanta’s Trap Music Museum, which paid tribute to East and West Coast hip-hop influences, and a powerful Hip Hop 50 portrait gallery. I also led the design team in curating and producing all creative assets for the weekend—ensuring every visual element reflected the energy and spirit of the culture we were celebrating.
